The Internship in Arts
Administration provides experience and learning opportunities to a student
interested in pursuing a career in an institution of higher education specific
to the fine arts. Working closely with professional staff at the Academy,
interns participate in the ongoing work of the MFA and Continuing Education
departments. Tasks will include projects
to support the Visiting Critics program and the Art & Culture Lecture
Series, as well as registration database entry, note-taking, organization of
files and calendars, and other administrative/office-based duties as
assigned. In addition, the intern will
also have the opportunity to attend various workshops, talks and special
events. The internship is unpaid, but
academic credit and letters of recommendation can be arranged with a college or university upon completion of the internship.
Eligibility
Consideration will be given to currently enrolled students or recent graduates from an undergraduate program with a BA or BFA degree.

Flexible start date, preferably
mid-August. Duration of internship is
negotiable with a minimum of a two-month commitment. The candidate should be
available 2 or 3 days a week from 10 – 5pm.
