Spaceworks is building 3 new affordable
visual art studios within the Williamsburgh Library. These private studios
will range in size from 175-225 sq ft, and will be rented on an annual basis
for $325-375/month. Artist renters will be selected through a Studio Lottery. The deadline to apply is July

Mayapple Center for the Arts and Humanities - Scholarships
The
Mayapple Center for the Arts and Humanities is pleased to offer three partial
(half) scholarships in the amount of $600.00 for artists to attend John Jerome
O'Connor's residential workshop "Confusing the Controller," which
takes place Monday-Friday, July 21-25th.

Two stops from downtown Manhattan, 20 minutes door-to-door to the Academy (1/2 hour on weekends). Great neighborhood with lots of food and beer and stuff. Bryant Park Painter in Residence Program
The Bryant Park Corporation invites applicants to participate in the third annual Painter in Residence Program
for the purpose of creating representational imagery of Bryant Park.
The paintings will be visual record of Bryant Park from a painter's
perspective. Four painters will be selected to paint outdoors in Bryant
Park for a two week periods each as follows:
Program 1 – August 4 to August 15
Program 2 – August 18 to August 29
Program 3 – September 1 to September 12
Program 4 – September 15 to September 26
These paintings are commissioned by BPC and become the company's sole property.
Program Details:
Subject matter: Landscapes and iconic features of the park
Painting schedule: Daily (cancelled in case of rain; rescheduled with approval of Bryant Park program manager.)
Stipend: $1000 per week plus one-time supplemental fund of up to $1000 for materials. Amount for materials will be confirmed with receipts.
Application Deadline: June 30, 2014
Announcement of Award: July 25, 2014

The competition is open to all U.S. artists 18 years of age or older. Any artwork submitted for consideration must have been completed in the last two years. Though representational styles will be given preference, innovative and experimental approaches are welcome. Likewise, art using either traditional or alternative media will be accepted.

120 is available for you. Located in a secure building with good light
from windows and a skylight above. The room has both AC and heat.
