Churner and Churner is currently seeking gallery interns
for Spring 2013. Intern responsibilities may include correspondence, assisting
at openings and gallery events, research, press communication, image archiving
and other miscellaneous tasks tailored to your particular interests. Candidates should have completed or be in the
process of completing a BA in Art History or a related field with a particular
interest in contemporary art, possess strong computer and communication skills
and be willing to commit to a minimum of one full day per week over the Spring
Semester.
Churner and Churner combines solo shows by emerging and
mid-career artists with art-historical public programs, hosting seven
exhibitions annually. In addition to presenting the work of contemporary
artists, the gallery regularly produces historical shows that resonate with
current practices. Between exhibitions,
the gallery serves as a venue for film and video screenings, long-duration
performances, and installations.
Proficiency in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator,
Microsoft Office, and experience in html/web design are preferred.
