FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT |
|
The Department of Art and Art History seeks an artist and/or scholar with a
dynamic vision for the position of Chair. This is a newly created position to
lead and work with Studio, Art History, and the Hunter College Gallery programs
to further an innovative education in the arts, and to complement an expanding
Department with tripartite needs. The Chair will develop an academic and
administrative vision of the Department and communicate that vision to the Dean
and Provost of the College. He/she will also oversee staff, budget, and
facilities. The candidate must have a record of significant achievement in
higher-education administrative experience and a prominent vitae of teaching,
studio practice, and/or scholarship that would merit appointment as Full
Professor in the Hunter College Department of Art. |

QUALIFICATIONS |
|
Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent. |
|
COMPENSATION |
|
Salary commensurate with experience.
