Jamestown, the owner of New York’s popular Chelsea Market,
is seeking artists to propose ideas for installations in the four glass
vitrines (6.25” x 9.5”) that line the main hallway of Long Island City’s Falchi
Building. All ideas welcome!
ABOUT THE BUILDING: The Falchi Building is a five-story, approximately 600,000 square foot commercial building at 31-00 47th Avenue near Court Square in Long Island City. The building was originally constructed in 1922 as a warehouse and it is now undergoing an exciting transformation with a wide variety of spaces and creative uses. The ground floor concourse is being reimagined as a public space amenity with areas for informal gathering, free wireless throughout, a food pop-up space, and a variety of other innovative food-related uses.
Interested? Please send proposals and direct any questions to paul.kelterborn@jamestownlp.com.
