The Art League of Long Island, a not-for-profit 501 ( c )(
3 ) organization has an opening for a Program Director for the Summer Art
Adventure Program. The Summer Art Adventure Program is a seasonal program
offered in July and August. This is a specialty art program that offers the
opportunity for students to explore the creative process, learn about art
history, build new art skills and participate in an art show for family and friends.
The Program Director must have the ability to lead, manage, supervise and develop staff and oversee a complex operation.

- Bachelor’s degree, MFA
desirable
- 5 years art teaching
experience, camp director experience a plus
- Ability to recruit, train,
develop and evaluate staff of art instructors, class assistants &
volunteers
- Strong writing and
communication skills
- Strong leadership and
management skills
- Knowledge of working budget
- Must be organized and work
well with children and adults
- Team player with high energy
