Tuoro sul Trasimeno, Umbria-Tuscany border. Charming, well equipped and ready to use.
The studio is a light, airy 73m2 space with a mezzanine, store area, shower room and a kitchenette, recently renovated by the late artist and architect Barrie Briscoe. Facilities include inexpensive pellet stove heating, a large roof light, a daylight tube lighting system and lots of electric points. Located opposite a field in a quiet village close to transport with everything you need within walking distance. Close to Siena, Assisi and Perugia and swimming in Lake Trasimeno. There is potential for a further bedroom and mains gas outside.
Current equipment available to buy includes a studio easel, two portable easels, a large work table on castors, a marble topped palate table on castors, a large workbench, a telephone line ready to be reinstated, a large storage cupboard, a 2m trestle table, a drawing board and many hand and electric tools including a small table saw. There is also a selection of canvases, drawing paper, heavy cartridge paper and palates.
A nearby 3 bed house with garden and garage is also for sale or rent. Why not rent the house for a while and test it out? For more about the house and further photos of the studio, go to

Tuoro has a weekly market, banks, chemist, ironmongery, garage, grocery, fishmonger, butcher, news stand, bakeries, bars and restaurants. The village is small enough to be able to walk to an olive grove in five minutes. We built up good contacts with reliable and honest local craftsmen who are available for any maintenance or alterations and bureaucracy is superbly taken care of by geometra Matteo Fiorucci, who speaks excellent English.
Tuoro sul Trasimeno has its own station and the main Milan-Naples line is 12 minutes away by car or taxi. Florence is 1hr 15mins, Rome 2hrs 20mins, Perugia 35mins, Pisa 2hrs 30 mins, Bologna 2hrs 45 mins. Ryanair do cheap regular flights from Stansted to Perugia. Easyjet and Ryanair serve Rome, Bologna and Pisa, accessible by train and Rimini and Ancona by car. Meridiana fly from Florence to Gatwick.
