SCULPTOR ASSISTANT NEEDED

David Klass, sculptor, needs a part time assistant 2 - 3 days per week.

Skills needed:
metalworking; shear, brake, drill press, grinders, band saw and some welding.
woodworking; use of table saw, router, jig saw, sanders and wood finishing processes.

Assistant must have the above skills as only a limited amount of training will be offered.

Pay negotiable according to skills.

Assistant Professor focused in Printmaking, The University of Idaho Art & Design

The University of Idaho Art & Design program seeks a progressive and accomplished Assistant Professor focused in Printmaking to collaborate with the faculty within programs in the College of Art and Architecture. Full Time, Tenure track, 9-month appointment with NASAD Accredited program of Art & Design, beginning August 2014. The ideal candidate will possess a demonstrated commitment to teaching/pedagogy, scholarship, advising and service.  Position requires MFA, 2 years full time teaching experience beyond graduate teaching at the university-level, strong exhibition record, demonstrated knowledge within subject area, excellent written and verbal communication skills and administrative skills.  For complete list of qualifications, position responsibilities and application requirements see full position announcement at:

Artists' Fellowships are $7,000 unrestricted cash awards made to individual originating artists living and working in the state of New York.

Grants are awarded in 15 artistic disciplines, with applications accepted in five categories each year. Since the awards began in 1985, NYFA has awarded over $27 million to over 4,400 artists.

Peer review panels will select up to 100 Fellows this year based on artistic vision, the goal being to buy recipients creative time to continue making work.
