Decorative Painter Assistant Richard Smith Studios

High-end Decorative Art Business is looking for a versatile, multi-talented individual. Experience in the field and a top tier art school BFA or MFA is a must. I am willing to train but you must be eager and interested in this field. I am not interested in anyone with attitude; humility, respect and a strong work ethic are essential.

The applicant should be acquainted with DECORATIVE PAINTING: FAUX FINISHES: faux bois, faux marble, glazing techniques (stipple, strie, rag etc.) as well as GILDING, and STUCCO VENEZIANO (synthetic and Marmorino)

In addition to the above he/she should be able to design, organize and execute MURALS and TROMPE L'OEIL and be adept at studio work: color mixing, all aspects of design, drawing descriptively/naturalistically, perspective, paint handling etc.

The applicant must be familiar and comfortable with working on jobsites in high-end apartments and houses as well as in the studio.

All applicants must be able to speak English well and have appropriate documents for work in US.

(The work can be decorative or fine artwork, drawings, paintings etc.) IF THESE ARE NOT GOOD, I WILL LOOK NO FURTHER.

E-mails without resume or images of work will not be considered.
Compensation is commensurate with experience but generous if the above standards are met.
