Gallery Manager, New York City

For our distinguished Chelsea art gallery client we are seeking a Gallery Manager. The successful applicant will oversee all registrarial and logistics functions of the gallery. Duties include: completing condition reports and updating related databases; overseeing storage and shipping functions; assisting with client relations, development and outreach; overseeing an assistant and art handlers; participation in art fairs; overseeing the installation of exhibitions; managing website and online presence; some sales support; other duties as necessary. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' experience in an art gallery or auction house with a focus on office management and registrarial work. BA in Art History and excellent organizational, interpersonal and communications skills required. Salary DOE: potential for long-term growth with the company.
