Professional Artist's Studio - Brooklyn, NY
Professional artist's studio seeks highly motivated interns. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of fine art studio operations - interns will be involved in preparations for exhibitions, special projects and art fairs. Interns will gain valuable knowledge of the art world and professional art practices. The artist is internationally acclaimed with numerous upcoming solo and group shows.
Studio internship applicants should have excellent painting and drawing skills. Responsibilities include assisting with art production, preparation of painting surfaces, and studio maintenance.
All applicants should have a strong interest in contemporary art. BFA in Studio Art preferred; students currently pursuing a degree in this field are welcome as well. School credit is a possibility. Performance-based stipend is available.
Applicants should be available two weekdays per week. The internship program is 12 weeks.
